Songkran Event at Liberty Global School
To welcome the Thai New Year with joy and cultural appreciation, Liberty Global School hosted a heartwarming Songkran celebration on April 6 — filled with tradition, learning, and fun!
🎉 The event began with our Thai language teachers introducing the history and cultural significance of Songkran, helping students understand the deeper meaning behind Thailand’s most cherished holiday.
🙏 Students also learned how to properly wish others for Songkran, using respectful Thai phrases and gestures that are commonly shared during this time of year.
🍨 To add a sweet touch, everyone enjoyed traditional Thai desserts, giving our international students a taste of local flavor and hospitality.
🌊 One of the most memorable moments was the water-pouring ritual at our Buddha statue. In this peaceful ceremony, students gently poured water over a Buddha image — a symbolic act of cleansing, respect, and starting the new year fresh.
The atmosphere was filled with smiles, cross-cultural learning, and celebration.
It wasn’t just a festival — it was an opportunity to connect, understand, and appreciate Thai culture on a deeper level.

At Liberty Global School, we believe education goes beyond the classroom — it’s also about engaging with the world around us.
